Amy Roberts discovered her passion for event planning in 2003 while planning her mother’s 50th birthday celebration—and she’s been creating meaningful events ever since. With a natural eye for detail and a love for organization, Amy brings calm, structure, and thoughtful execution to every event she plans.
She earned her Associate’s Degree from Illinois Central College in 2008 with a focus on Interior Design, giving her a strong foundation in aesthetics and spatial planning. In 2009, Amy became a Certified Bridal Consultant through Penn Foster College and coordinated her first wedding that same year—marking the beginning of a career dedicated to helping couples celebrate with confidence and ease. In 2010, Amy met her best friend and creative partner, Hallie, who has been instrumental in building Blue Orchid Event Planning alongside her. The two were married on October 12, 2013, and continue to bring their shared passion and teamwork into every event they create. |

Hallie has been an integral part of Blue Orchid Event Planning since meeting Amy in 2010 and has truly worn many hats along the way. She currently serves as the Creative Director, handling backend marketing, branding, and design to ensure a cohesive and polished look across all platforms and events.
Outside of Blue Orchid, Hallie is the Co-Host and Editor of Slash Sisters, a YouTube channel dedicated to reviewing horror films. In her free time, she enjoys video gaming, watching movies, and volunteering with the Central Illinois Ghostbusters—bringing creativity, passion, and a little fun wherever she goes. |

Heather brings a lifetime of customer service experience to Blue Orchid Event Planning, with a true talent for creating positive, memorable experiences for everyone she works with. She loves planning parties, hosting events, and bringing people together to celebrate life’s most special moments. A natural people person, Heather truly doesn’t know a stranger.
Weddings are where Heather shines. She finds joy in every moment—from the smallest details to the biggest highlights—and takes great pride in making sure everything is just right. She’s confidently “bossy” when the situation calls for it and understands how important it is to keep a wedding day running smoothly so couples can be fully present and enjoy every second. Heather is proud to work alongside Amy and the Blue Orchid team, sharing their passion and dedication to creating unforgettable events. Heather has lived in the Peoria area since the early 1990s and shares her life with her son, Samuel. |

Nicola has been part of the Blue Orchid Event Planning team since 2010, serving as an Assistant Coordinator and jumping in wherever help is needed. Her calm presence and willingness to support the team make her a valuable part of every event day.
By day, Nicola is a full-time teacher with Peoria Public Schools, typically teaching Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Her patience, organization, and nurturing nature translate seamlessly into event coordination. In her free time, Nicola enjoys spending time with her large extended family and soaking up date nights with her partner. |
